Increase Height through the Alexander Technique?

From Voices to Bodies
F. Matthias Alexander was an instructor and actor from Australia. Ironically, the function of the Alexander Technique was initially to train singers and actors. It focused on improving a singer`s breathing apparatuses to operate more efficiently. Many of Alexander`s students not only learned to sing better, but started to breathe better also! In fact, doctors began sending patients with respiratory illnesses, to Alexander. Soon, “respiratory re-education” was born.

An important discovery that Alexander made that can help to increase height, was that both physical and mental habits are psychophysical. In other words, how we think regarding our activities influences our coordination to do them. And surplus tension and ineffective coordination impact how we think and feel!

Today, the Alexander Technique is still effective in solving coordination problems that people have. Components of coordination involve:

Alexander`s approach focuses on a person`s total psychophysical coordination, which he referred to as “the use of the self.”

Students of the Alexander Technique learn to alter their tension routine, which has developed throughout a person`s lifetime. Through lessons that can increase height, you can learn how to apply the Alexander Technique`s principles to your own life, through means that are the most effective and helpful to you.

Alexander recommended that students take a minimum of 30 private lessons. This number is needed to uproot a lifetime of tension habits. Students also get enough time and instruction required to learn the Technique`s principles well enough to continue by themselves after completing their lessons.

Finding a Top Teacher
After deciding to take Alexander Technique lessons, you should find an ideal instructor. The teacher should be fully-qualified, to ensure that you will maximize your opportunity to increase height. However, keep in mind that different teachers will interpret the Alexander Technique differently and will have different approaches to instruction. So try taking lessons from different teachers before making your final decision. Keep in mind though that you may need to complete several lessons before you notice any significant mental or physical changes.

It`s crucial that you`re cautious about instructors who try to increase height by teaching the Alexander Technique with other methods. The problem is that different methods have different approaches, which could be as different as night and day when comparing them with the Alexander Technique. Ultimately, the Alexander Technique`s efficiency could suffer.
